Yoko Ono comes home after night in hospital, son says

(CNN)Artist and activist Yoko Ono has returned home after being hospitalized with the flu, her son said.

Ono was hospitalized in New York on Friday after experiencing "extreme flu-like" symptoms, according to her publicist.


"Her doctor thought it would be a good idea for her to get checked," her publicist Elliot Mintz said. He denied media reports that she suffered a stroke.

Her son, Sean Ono Lennon, shared more details in a tweet Saturday.

"Thanks again for everyone's concern," he said. " She's home and running about as usual. Just the flu in the end."
